Signature. Not Necessary.

The filter through which we strain the Signature brand is simple: We are Not Necessary. Hard but true. We use this harsh phrase as a South star, which helps us keep our North star true and focused. We must design with clarity and purpose. We must engage in everything, from events to our ownership structure, with a critical mindset aimed at driving change. The majority of our riders are part owners of Signature. This not only influences our business decisions but also provides these talented riders with something more enduring than traditional sponsorship agreements. A project of permanence and expression they can be proud to be part of. As Signature begins to reveal itself, we hope to prove that we are, in fact, necessary.

BRETT RHEEDER

Founder

Brett Rheeder is one of the most accomplished and influential slopestyle and freeride mountain bikers of the past decade. A multi-time Red Bull Rampage champion and FMB World Tour overall winner, he’s built a reputation for pushing the limits of what’s possible in freeride and slopestyle. After a successful career riding for some of the world’s biggest brands, Brett decided it was time for a reset. He stepped back from most of his sponsors and competitions to focus on a new mission.

In 2024, he quietly formed Signature, a brand created to reimagine what a modern mountain bike company could be. His goal with Signature is simple but ambitious: to build a brand that is self critical at every turn and finds a new way of showing up. Not just products but events, sponsorships and visuals. All while staying deeply rooted in the community and values that got him to where he is today.
